STEWARDSHIP AND SAFETY

Support for church life

Behind the life our church community at Shepherd's Wharf is a wonderful group of people who help us manage our resources and ensure that people can enjoy our activities safely.

The Wardens

The Wardens work with the Senior Minister to manage the financial, property, and safety issues of the church.  Our Wardens are: Sharon Ford, David Sinclair, and Darren Stanley.

The Treasurer

The Treasurer supports the Wardens by managing the finances of the church. The accounts are reviewed independently and presented to the Annual General Meeting, which happens in March each year. Our Treasurer is Peter Ford.

The Parish Council 

The members of the Parish Council meet six times each year to set the budget, review our finances, oversee our risk management, and confer with the Senior Minister on the ministry strategy. Our Parish Councillors are: Rosalie Matthews, Sandy Wheeler, Peter Lee and Will Smith.

Safe Ministry

At Shepherd's Wharf we want to do all we can to keep children and vulnerable people safe. This means that we will carefully recruit and train all our staff and volunteers working with children and vulnerable people. We will also adopt and encourage Safe Ministry practices in every area of church life.

Our Safe Ministry Representative, Cathy Webb, works with the Senior Minister to oversee our Safe Ministry training and practices. If you have any concerns, please contact her.
